Christmas Trees

2025 trees.jpg

The tradition continues; we will have our tree farm open for U-Cut Christmas Trees! Join us on your hunt for the perfect Christmas tree this holiday season! Cutting a real tree is a wonderful family activity and is a great way to enjoy the last season of Wisconsin Agriculture!

The farm is a great place to stop in for some local honey, jams, jellies, candles, and tons of other stocking stuffers!

The petting farm will not be open during this short season. The animals are all tucked away for a cold Wisconsin winter!

Quick Tips: We provide bow-saws but battery sawzalls work better, no dogs please, bring ratchet straps if you're planning on using the roof-rack, bring a tarp if you're putting the tree inside of a van/suv, and bring your camera for family/friends photo!

Here's how the 2025 U-Cut Experience will work:

  1. First, signage will direct you to drive up the middle of the farm to our U-Cut tree forest - keep driving up the middle lane until you're in the middle of our Christmas tree farm. Parking will be apparent and clearly marked.

  2. Next, you will be greeted and pointed in the right direction to begin your search. At this time, you will be given a handsaw. You and your family can pick out the tree that best suits your needs. Please cut your tree as low as possible!

    • Fraser firs have SOFT FLAT NEEDLES that don't roll in your fingers and are usually the darkest green. Frasers are known for their excellent needle retention and lower maintenance. These are typically the most popular tree and what we have most of.

    • White Spruce have POINTY NEEDLES that easily roll between two fingers. While spruce do typically require more water, they are known for smelling the most 'like a Christmas tree.' On rare occasions, spruce can drop all their needles for reasons unbeknownst to us. If this happens to you, don't worry, send us your pictures and we'll replace your tree at no cost. This usually happens once per season.

  3. After downing your tree, you will need to bring it to the shaking/baling station where we will prep your tree for transportation. We will shake out the loose needles, brush off the snow, trim the bottom branches (at your direction), and bale the tree in a netting for easier transportation. At this time, the crew will measure your tree and give you a price tag to use at the checkout.

  4. You will need to attach your tree to your vehicle if you do not have a truck - for liability purposes, we cannot do this for you. If you need help, you will need to fill out a liability release form that we will provide for you.

  5. Finally, you will drive up to the front of the farm and park in the front parking lot where you will bring your price tag into the market to checkout your tree. You are welcome to do additional shopping or simply stop inside to pay for your tree!

  6. From there, the tradition is in your hands! Keep your tree watered daily as needed and enjoy the fresh smell of pine all season long!

** For liability purposes, we cannot strap a tree on your vehicle unless you sign the liability waiver form. Better yet, please come prepared with trucks/SUVs and ratchet straps of your own. Every year we are surprised by how many people come with no straps, pick out the largest trees, and want them placed on their Mini Coopers. Please plan ahead to make it easier for everyone!
